EPRN FACILITATED THE MID-TERM REVIEW OF THE WOMEN FOR WOMEN RWANDA (WfW-RWANDA) 5 YEARS STRATEGIC PLAN (2020-2024)

The overall objective of the MTE was to assess the progress of the WfW-Rwanda Five Years Strategic Plan (2020-2024) against the pre-defined priorities, objectives, and outcomes while highlighting issues and challenges affecting the effective and efficient implementation of the Strategic Plan ; and recommend changes where necessary.

Specifically, the MTE assessed the progress and performance of the following specific issues :
Global changes that have implications for the organization’s work
New dynamics in the Rwandan social, economic and political landscape that positively or negatively impacts substantial and meaningful delivery of the five years New opportunities and risks ; and
Potential gaps to inform what should be incorporated into the revised SP in terms of institutional and organizational development of WfW-R.

The MTE was to pave way for improved delivery for the remaining period and recommend necessary amendments (if any) hence allowing the Strategic Plan’s implementation arrangements to lead to effective, and sustainable performance of WfW-Rwanda.

The consultants undertook situational analysis through a four step process that involved desk review of pertinent women economic and social empowerment documents, publications and reports, interviews with key informants either by physical or virtual meetings, and documentation of situation analysis findings.
