To bring together researchers and policy makers and to disseminate research findings EPRN organizes conferences on an annual basis. The conferences seek to provide a research platform and opportunity for economic researchers at national, regional and international from a wide spectrum such as academics, government officials, representatives of development partners and international and local NGOs with interest in Rwanda, to evaluate the policy progress, suggest innovative policy solutions and, discuss strategies for achieving desired goals and targets.
For each conference EPRN issues a call for papers. The best are then selected by a scientific comitee of expert researchers and sector profesionals and presented to young Rwandan researchers, academicians, professionals and decision makers working in private institutions, government, civil society organisations and development partnersat the event.
Upcoming: The 4th Annual EPRN Conference
The 4th Annual EPRN Conference will take place in January 2018! The topic will be “Growth trajectories, relevancy of home-made solutions and regional integration”, which will be broken down into subthemes:
Interested researchers have been encouraged to submit abstracts on one or more sub themes above. The selected papers will be presented during the conference and facilitated to be published in recognized journals.
All papers and posters will be reviewed by an independent scientific committee of specialist researchers and sector professionals. A paper will be accepted upon the committee’s recommendation and it is required that at least one of the authors is available to present the paper.
Submissions and Key Dates
Interested researchers have been asked to develop abstracts (maximum 250 words) which, will be developed to a full conference paper or a conference poster. Authors are required to adhere to the following timeline:
