Topic: “Africa Continental Free Trade Area and Rwanda’s comparative advantages”

“EPRN – Student Chapter” is organizing a student conference, and learning event, which will facilitate young academics’ knowledge on Rwanda’s comparative advantages in the African Continental free Trade Area (AfCFTA).

The conference is merged with a students’ competition to test the level of understanding of the Rwandan Economy, EPRN Rwanda and AfCFTA. The competition is divided into two categories:

  1. Group competition where a group of three students (at least one being a female) will compete by responding to open questions (groups with people with disability are highly encouraged)
  2. Paper writing competition (students will individually submit abstracts and the selected ones will be trained and supervised to write good quality papers around the AfCFTA topic).

Awards are as follows:

a. For Paper writing:

  • 2nd Runner-up: 50,000Rwfs
  • 1st Runner-up: 100,000Rwfs
  • The winner: 300,000Rwfs

b. For Groups competition:

  • 2nd Runner-up: 100,000Rwfs
  • 1st Runner-up: 200,000Rwfs
  • The winner: 500,000Rwfs
